Writing & Book Camp: A Creative Space for Youth
Since 2001, dozens of youth have come to VPL each summer to meet other writers, learn new skills, and learn from leading authors about the art of writing everything from poems to cartoons. This unique and inclusive program not only provides mentorship, it culminates in a gala where the youth are able to showcase their work for family, friends, and community!

Together with the Writing & Book Camp, these two vital programs are inspiring fresh, vibrant, and diverse stories to be told – in print, in comics, and on the silver screen – as well as bringing the community together from across Vancouver.
